Create Your Successful Career In Three Easy Steps With NLP – Here’s Step One!

Unfortunately, most people fail before they even start for one reason; they don’t know what they want.

Through NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), you’ll learn that starting yourself on the path to success is about knowing what you want to achieve, then reverse engineering your lifestyle to get there.

Take Lady Gaga, for example. She was a talented young woman who was stuck behind the scenes writing songs for established artists. She decided what she wanted, then worked hard on herself, creating a larger-than-life persona and finding the fashions to match to become who she needed to be to achieve her goals.

Of course, not every goal will be quite as grand. However, you’ll see that the principles are always the same.

STEP ONE:
Follow the ‘5 Proven Principles of Success’
1.Know your outcome

Can you imagine trying to build a piece of Ikea furniture without knowing what it is you’re trying to put together?

Just think of the confusion, the missteps and the wasted time doing and undoing each part of the build until you finally get it right. If you ever actually do, that is.

Starting your journey toward career success without knowing what you want to build is exactly the same. In NLP, we call it knowing your outcome, and it’s the first step toward building yourself a better life.

When you have a clear idea of your end goal, you can reverse engineer your lifestyle and create actionable steps, like an instruction manual that helps you build what you want.

2.Take action

Once you have a clear goal, you need to break it down into manageable chunks with specific actions attributed to each goal. Too many people complain that they’re not where they want to be and forget about the things they need to do every day to get there.

Making grand resolutions with no time frame or objectives attached will see you quickly lose motivation and direction.

3.Have sensory acuity

Building your dream career takes consistency, but you should never get caught up in checking off your to-do list and fail to consider the progress you’re making.

Don’t forget to take the time to sit back and observe what’s going on around you. Failing to take time out to look closely at your actions, behaviours, and success will see you quickly fall behind instead of moving forward.

4.Have behavioural flexibility

Once you’ve observed your actions and their outcomes, you need to be willing to change what isn’t working and lean into what is. It’s often at this point that I see clients give up because the actions they’ve taken haven’t performed.

Instead, you need to assess what hasn’t worked and be willing to try something different. Every ‘failure’ is simply feedback!

5.Operate from a physiology and psychology of excellence

The final principle is about working on yourself. Your mindset is your most powerful tool, and it needs effort.

Have you ever heard the saying that you can’t pour from an empty cup?

Achieving your goals will take work and require the best version of yourself showing up every day. You can’t expect to be ticking everything off your career to-do list without caring for yourself first.

So, look after your health, consistently readjust your mindset and importantly, be forgiving, so you never get stuck and allow yourself to continue moving forward.

By now, it’s probably clear that getting started is your biggest hurdle. When you have the skills to set yourself on the right path, everything will begin to fall into place. So, to help you out, I’ve put together a free webinar that guides you through each of the three steps toward career success, starting with a deeper dive into each of the 5 Proven Principles.
